Luminaries line historic Everett Street, the signature hemlock is lit with memorial lights, carolers and musical artists abound, and a living nativity proceeds up the avenue. GMSR Dinner Train - New Year's Eve Gala — Journey through Western North Carolina and enjoy a unique dining experience on board the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. Savor a delicious dinner while appreciating a variety of special events ranging from mystery theatre to gourmet wine tastings. First class seating in candlelit dining cars and delectable three-course dinners are a perfect match for the evening’s entertainment, scenic vistas and starlit skies.

Passengers may choose one of three entrée choices at the time of reservation. Cocktail, beer and wine service is available. Trips are three hours with a 7:00 pm departure from Bryson City (Freedom Train departs at 8:00 pm & New Year’s Eve Gala departs at 9:00 pm). $104 per person (plus tax and gratuity, New Year’s Eve Gala is $135); adults only, 21 and over.
