Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. At Oconaluftee Job Corps Center, we support the Job Corps program's mission of teaching eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education.

A community based rehabilitation program, dedicated to serving persons with challenges that reduce or inhibit employment and/or social/community inclusion.
About our Organization…
VOC was established in 1973 to provide vocational rehabilitation services to all members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. In 1985, services were extended to all people in Jackson and Swain counties. In 2000, services were expanded to provide work opportunities to adults with barriers to employment. VOC is a private, NC non-profit corporation governed by a board of directors and is an entity of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Workplace Solutions provides the following services to improve the effectiveness and productivity of people and processes in your organization.
Our IT and Data Services provide remote data storage and disaster recovery (planning and testing), website development, computer repair and network services.
Lean production programs, program surveys and assessments, process alignment, and employee outplacement, help keep your staff on track.
Employee education at your worksite is cost-effective and available online and in the classroom. Yearly sexual harassment training is a requirement for many organizations.
Employee Assistance Programs provide employee counseling, manager consultations, new hire orientations and executive coaching to improve individual performance.
Employee support is provided via couseling and mediation services.
