Cherokee Preservation Foundation’s purpose is to improve the quality of life of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and strengthen the Western North Carolina region. We help p0reserve Cherokee culture, create jobs and other economic development opportunities, and renew the environment in the Qualla Boundary and the neighboring seven counties. CPFdn was established in 2000 s part of the Second Amendment to the Tribal-State Compact between the EBCI and the State of North Carolina

We help people put research based knowledge to work for economic prosperity, environmental stewardship and an improved quality of life.
